Olympic medalist Jessica Ennis announced news she had given birth to baby son Reggie on Twitter today.
Sharing a black and white snap of her new arrival the athlete wrote: "Our beautiful baby boy Reggie Ennis-Hill was born yesterday. We couldn't be happier x."
Fans and fellow athletes rushed to congratulate the sports star, and her husband Andy Hill, on the safe arrival of their first child. Awww.
The 28-year-old, who tied the knot in May last year, announced she was expecting in January, saying her plans for 2014 had been, "completely turned upside down" when she discovered she was pregnant.
However, she did confirm she was still planning on returning to the athletics field to compete in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
In a statement, Jessica commented: "I have some very unexpected but exciting news to share - Andy and I are expecting a baby.
"We are completely overwhelmed, with excitement and a degree of anxiety that I am sure all first time parents will relate to.
"But having had a couple of weeks to think about things from a career point of view I am 100 per cent set on returning to full-time athletics once our baby is born.
"It would be special having (my child) there and seeing their mum win and be successful and being able to look back and see pictures of them as part of that experience," she said.
