Julia Roberts And George Clooney Party At Britannia Awards - New BFFs?

George Clooney was honoured by "great friend" and fellow actor Julia Roberts at the BAFTA Britannia Awards in Los Angeles when she presented him with the Stanley Kubrik Award for Excellence in Film.

Presenting the award Julia joked: "There are two obvious reasons why I was chosen to do this. One, Brad Pitt was out of town. Two, Matt Damon, he's in town, but he was unavailable."

But with the tongue-in-cheek comments aside, Jules called George a good friend and "exemplary humanitarian".

She said: "I consider George a friend. We have worked together in many capacities. We have acted together a few times.

"He's been my producer and my director, all of which he is immeasurably gifted at. He's handsome, he's talented, he is an exemplary humanitarian and a gifted prankster."

The pair were pictured laughing and joking during the ceremony, proving they really are the best of pals.

However, we're pretty sure these snaps won't do anything but fuel those romance rumours further. What do you reckon?
