Kate Winslet Is Chic In Monochrome For Day At Chantilly Races

Monochrome is the colourway guaranteed to have you looking effortlessly chic in an instant. Kate Winslet has proved it works like a dream for race-going season too.

The 38-year-old British actress and her husband Ned Rocknroll were at the Prix de Diane Longines 2014 in Chantilly, France, on Sunday looking seriously stylish and completely loved up.

Kate wore a low-key monochrome Narciso Rodriguez dress with a pillbox-style fascinator by Philip Treacy paired with black Chloe Gosselin shoes, while Ned went for a navy suit and a smart pair of brogues.

Kate's clearly well informed when it comes to dressing for the races (this event at Chantilly has been coined the style event of the season) and her outfit was the perfect example of occasion day wear.

The hat? It worked perfectly with her face shape, hair colour and skin tone - key things to consider when buying and styling fancy headgear.

It looks like the happy couple got totally into the races too. When they weren't hand in hand viewing from their box, Kate and Ned were up all cheers and smiles.
