Katherine Jenkins is fast becoming a national treasure. Not only is she a huge supporter of charities such as Children in Need, Royal Marsden Cancer and Help For Heroes (the list goes on), but this week she performed two concerts during a three-day trip to the UK's military base in Bastion, Afghanistan.
The 33 year-old beauty first went out to Afghanistan in 2007 and as a patron of the British Forces Foundation, she eagerly returned this month.
It wasn't all glitzy-gorgeous performances though, Katherine made sure she mixed with all the teams getting VIP attention and even boarding Apache, Lynx and Chinook helicopters.
Yes, this aircrew suit and helmet is not her usual sparkling ball gown ensemble but that didn't stop her going all out for the visit.
