Katherine Jenkins Reveals Beautiful Engagement Ring From Fiancé Andrew Levitas

Katherine Jenkins did that not so subtle LOOK-how-huge-my-engagement-ring-is thing this week.

The 33-year-old Welsh mezzo-soprano announced her engagement news last Thursday after clearly falling head over heels for New York University professor Andrew Levitas.

They may have only been dating six months but whirlwind romances do happen and we couldn't be happier for the two. Katherine teamed her diamonds (those who have them and all that...) with a crisp white shirt, ripped denims, nude heels and Spring/Summer 2014's show piece - the candyfloss pink coat.

Now back to the ring - yowza, that's some serious engagement bling. Practically on a level with Kim Kardashian's and Jennifer Aniston's. Think oval stone surrounded by a modest 54 diamonds, think beyond beautiful.

David Allen, diamond expert at 77 Diamonds says: "Surrounded by a halo of diamonds, the oval centre stone looks approximately 3ct. An oval diamond is the best way of getting the size per carat and it's elongated shape makes it perfect for slender fingers like Katherine's.

"Engagement rings with halos are extremely popular within the celebrity circle with stars like Kaley Cuoco, Natalie Portman and Blake Lively all sporting similar designs."

Bravo Katherine, your husband-to-be has truly outdone himself.

It has to be said, Katherine and Andrew are of the ridiculously-photogenic breed (THOSE SMILES) and this is them together after she was awarded with her OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) at Buckingham Palace back in March. When she was blonde.
