Katie Holmes joined the Harry Potter star at the premiere of Boulevard in New York - a film which neither of the actresses are actually in.
That probably explains why Holmes ditched the glamorous evening style we'd usually expect to see her wear on the red carpet for a far more effortless look. This was Holmes, dressed down. And it definitely suits her.
Holmes paired her faded skinny jeans with a cream shirt, a jewel-embellished coat and black leather ankle boots. So far, so casual chic.
As for her slightly tousled tresses and smoky eye makeup, they were the only way to complete her "just thrown this together" outfit.
This was the second low-key look Holmes showcased at Tribeca Film Festival. She was spotted wearing a navy zip-up shift dress in New York on Friday - the perfect spring style for a day in the city, don't you think?
