Katie Holmes is the cover star of Elle magazine's April issue. The Hollywood beauty was photographed by Thomas Whiteside for a shoot that sees her looking fresh-faced and fabulous in an embellished blue Prada coat.
In her interview with the magazine, Holmes talks her Dawson's Creek days, motherhood, makeup and her beautiful Holmes & Yang line.
Of her role as Joey Potter, Holmes says: "It was these kids going through first love and heartbreak and growing up and friendships changing. So I'm glad that the innocence still holds up."
The 35-year-old actress also recalls how her mother influenced her love of makeup, being a single parent (can you actually believe Suri is eight this year!) and family.
"I think all of our experiences bring us to a greater understanding of ourselves and help us realise what is most important.
"That being said, I have three older sisters and one older brother and I went to an all-girls school, and have always been a fan of women. I support women and all experiences give you more insight into others, as well as yourself."
