Developing viagra for women has proven to be a difficult task, as research has long proven women's sexual arousal functions very differently than that of men - although we're not sure we needed a scientific study to tell us that.

National Institute of Health research (involving 100 women between 37 and 45) suggests the herbal Lady Prelox does increase the sex drive without major side effects.

So if you're on the look out for a dietary supplement to increase that feeling of "want to come back to mine for some coffee?" then Lady Prelox could be the one for you. However, we should probably mention just one month's supply will cost £37.95!

Dr Graham Jackson, chairman of the Sexual Advice Association and a cardiologist at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London, told the Daily Mail that while the theory behind Lady Prelox may prove correct, if you don't fancy the person you're trying to get it on with then no amount of drugs will help the situation.

"These aren't aphrodisiacs," he warned. "If you're not turned on by your partner, no amount of tablets will help."
