Martine McCutcheon Wants A Baby After ME Hell

Martine McCutcheon has said she wants to be a mum after coming through a seven-year battle with depression and ill health.

Speaking to the Sun on Sunday, the former EastEnders actress and pop star said that she had been left practically bedridden with ME and depression which stopped her working and eventually led to bankruptcy earlier this year.

But now well on the road to recovery, Love Actually star Martine, 37, says her she wants to start a family with her musician husband Jack McManus, 29.

"I love kids and this has made me realise I'd love to have children," she said. "I now know that I'll be well enough to take care of them and be able to have that choice but I just want to get myself and my body back to normal first."

She said that it is all a 'work in progress' and that she hasn't put 'a time frame on it'.

"One thing I am trying really hard not to do is put any pressure on myself," she said.

Martine and Jack married at Lake Como last year.
