Meet The Couple Who Had A Harry Potter-Themed Wedding

Some couples celebrate their wedding by flying their other half to the top of a mountain. Others, like Alex and Zoe, dedicate their entire day to J.K Rowling's Harry Potter books.

The couple, who were married at Wroxeter Hotel near Shrewsbury in March had matching wands, a Gryffindor scarf and a Harry Potter book-cake, along with plenty more magical touches which made up the £10,000 wedding.

Even the couple's vows had elements of the books in them. "We didn't use exact quotes but a lot of the values in the books were the sort of things we had included in the service," Zoe told Metro.

"Things like keeping friendships and being there to help each other prosper as well as being a husband and wife and helping each other grow, that's the main thing we took from the books."

Zoe and Alex had their rings laid out on the opening page of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, chapter eight, aptly named 'The Wedding', which documents the special day of J.K Rowling's characters Fleur de le Coeur and Bill Weasley.

For true authenticity, the couple even had their guests play out a fight using 'magic', reminiscent of to showdown between Harry Potter and Voldemort at the end of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

It looked, er, enchanting...
