Last year's 'PUNK: Chaos to Couture' exhibition inspired some of the most dramatic gowns ever seen on the Met Gala red carpet. And Beyonce's Givenchy design (with matching knee-high boots and slick black gloves) was most definitely one of the highlights.
Though she's not the only one to choose a dress with a long train and a spot of sparkle. In recent years there's been a trend for tulle, sequins and serious ruffles. Oh, and capes? As the Charles James exhibit is all about celebrating couture, we can expect styles to be just as grand, but they'll have an elegant twist in 2014.
