Milan Fashion Week: Marni Autumn/Winter 2014

Marni's Autumn/Winter catwalk show during Milan Fashion Week revealed a collection that was pure modernist. There was that signature sports luxe feel to every look (the boxy cocoon shapes and matchy-matchy prints) but separates were crisper, cleaner and oozing with cool.

Bright colourways (pink, red, blue, green) across zip front jackets and matching midi skirts were teamed with tasseled/embellished loafers and envelope clutch bags.

Then there was the opulent autumnal shades (olive green, khaki green, brown, oatmeal) and the feather-fronted outwear. The Marni woman is contemporary and her wardrobe plays in every texture available. Fur is her forever fabulous trend.

Oversized, over the top patchwork fur coats were most noticeable for their standout quality but also the way they were belted at the waist. Fur was also worked across cropped jumpers, polo necks and jacket collars adding every inch of wow factor to polished pieces.

Marni's fleet of models had an earthy-elegance going on, flat shows prevailed as did greasy down 'dos.
