Milan Fashion Week: Moschino Autumn/Winter 2014

Jeremy Scott and Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele presented their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection for Moschino in Milan on Thursday night. With a retro 1980s vibe and a side of M for Moschino fries, this was the most standout show at MFW so far.

The food-themed collection - the McDonald's spin was seen across quilted cross-body happy meal handbags, caps, dressing gowns and slogan sweatshirts - was fresh, fun and undeniably Scott.

When it wasn't all about the signature food chain colourways, it was SpongeBob Square Pants accessories and strapless gowns of the Gummy Bear, Lucky Charm, chocolate and popcorn wrapper variety. Think junk culture, think mega jokes.

And if catwalk looks weren't head-turning enough, Scott's biggest fangirls Rita Ora and Katy Perry were spotted taking a turn on the catwalk in his designer garb.

If you're a girl who LOVES a delicious reference, here's a few style notes from the show...

1. Go top to toe. If you're going for a nostalgic style, deck yourself in it. Wear the headgear, the handbags, the heels. And nail the colourways.

2. Be calorie conscious. Moschino's full-skirted wrapper dresses showed the nutritional information as did the actual wedding dress that closed the show. Rita already has eyes on it.

3. Ghetto girls do quilted separates, metallics, belted leather dresses and more Moschino bling than you can shake a stick at.

4. Hair is cropped short and bleached blonde or it's tucked under a snap-back cap.

You have to see this show in full, it's just too tasty...
