A teacher has revealed how a pushy mum BRIBED her with the promise of luxury beauty treatments if she cast her daughter in the lead role in the Christmas school play.

The newly qualified teacher told Radio 5 Live that she was also quizzed by parents as to what roles their kids had been allocated and asked WHY some were cast as donkeys or sheep.

"I have been bribed as a newly qualified teacher by a parent when I was doing a nativity play in a church school," she told the breakfast show. "She had three girls and it was her last daughter through the reception class and she did come and offer me free beauty treatments at her salon if her little girl could be Mary."

"As a newly qualified teacher I didn't know how to handle it as we'd already cast the part," she said.

She revealed that other parents also probed her about the motivation behind handing out the roles.

"I have been asked why their child is a donkey or a sheep," she said. "Or 'how did you come to that conclusion' - that will be in the parents evening a few months later as well."
