My Apartment: Becky Tong

My Apartment: Becky Tong

Before heading off to check out the Berlin music scene, DJ and radio plugger Becky Tong, showed us around her Holland Park home. As one of the hottest DJs in London - be it playing an exclusive fashion party or hosting her own club night Juicebox - Becky's home is naturally a combination of modern, quirky and stylish. From walls papered with the faces of iconic rock and pop stars to framed gold discs and vinyl collections, it is immediately apparent that Becky's home belongs to an über cool music aficionado.

How would you describe your interior style?

When I eventually get my own space, I am very keen to keep things very white! I like the combination of having things clean then with some key antique and vintage pieces dotted around.

You travel a lot for work and DJ gigs. What's the most impressive interior you've ever visited?

When I was in Dubai and went into the Burj Khalifa for the first time that was very overwhelming, the scale of everything in there was so impressive. I also find the interiors in Stockholm so beautiful, very clean and structured.

When you're not out hosting your club night or DJing at an event, how do you spend your down time at home?

I spend most of the time in the kitchen, I love to cook, this relaxes me and takes my mind off things!

Do you practice sets and listen to a lot of new music at home?

Yes, I have decks set up in my room. It's great just being up to have a mix with friends and try things out at home. Although they're not the prettiest things so I cover them with a Mexican table cloth I picked up at a vintage market in LA.

You're a West London girl through and through. What do you love about your area?

I've always liked living in a place which has a nice "villagey" atmosphere!

Where are your favourite places to shop for pieces for your home and wardrobe?

Goldbourne Road has some really great shops and boutiques for home stuff. Most of my wardrobe comes from eBay, I'm a bit obsessed with buying and selling on there!

Where do you see yourself living in five years' time?

I love Primrose Hill and hope to have a place around there sometime in the future.
