My Apartment: Madeleine Shaw

My Apartment: Madeleine Shaw

Summer has well and truly arrived, and whilst friends embark on bikini-bod crash diets would it not be more worthwhile for an entire overhaul and re-evaluation of your fitness and lifestyle? Enter Madeleine Shaw, the vivacious and approachable nutritional coach who helps her clients and readers achieve the hottest, healthiest, happiest versions of themselves. In between writing her popular blog, organising workshops and dinner parties for her friends and fans, and training to be a yoga teacher, the health guru invited us over to her west London home to delve into her kitchen and bathroom cabinets.

How would you describe your interior style?

I love French country style, lots of white washed wood and soft linen.

When working from home, how do you get into office mode?

I always eat first, this is essential. If I'm honest I don't need to do much, I love what I do so I feel pretty lucky to get to do it every day. It's a pleasure, so frankly it's hard to drag me away.

How do you enjoy living with three boys and are you the designated cook?

It's great, they are all amazing. To be honest I mainly cook with my boyfriend, the other two boys are too busy wining and dining ladies.

How do you like to relax at home?

I love baths, I light a candle and sink into the bath. I am a Classic FM addict, I listen to it all the time; I have a gorgeous Roberts radio that blasts it out all day.

What do you love about being back in London and what do you miss about Australia where you previously lived?

The restaurants, I love eating out. I went to 10 Greek Street last night which I really recommend. I miss the sun, the slow pace of life and my friends over there....and the brunches, Sydney knows how to do brunch.

Are there good places locally for you to buy ingredients?

Parsons Green farmers market, Whole Foods and goodnessdirect.co.uk!

Where do you see yourself living in five years' time?

On Whale Beach in Sydney with ocean views, a large balcony to do yoga in the morning, a massive open kitchen and a bed bigger than the Queen's!
