My Work Style: Barry M Cosmetics

My Work Style: Barry M Cosmetics

Barry M is all about fabulous fashion cosmetics. The British beauty brand has been around since 1982 and is still a go-to brand when it comes to shopping for colourful, OTT, statement making makeup.

So we hot-stepped across to the offices to meet with the team and talk through how they do work style and standout beauty.

Lorraine Clough is the PR manager at Barry M and wears a River Island floral print maxi dress, Topshop leather jacket and black ankle boots from M&S.

On the beauty front, Lorraine wears Barry M's Gelly Nail Paint and and the Gelly Lip Crayon. Her false lashes are by Ardell but her real power piece is the Barry M bold waterproof eyeliner.

"I like to look quite glam in the office, and because work is all about beauty I wear dark colours so that my makeup can do the talking. "

Beth Thomas, PR and marketing assistant, wears a stripe minidress, a bright tailored jacket and matching duffle bag from Topshop, lace up boots from Office and vintage jewellery.

The watch is Rotary and the lipstick is Barry M's Sunset shade. "I always wear dresses and tights with a flash of colour. I also love the pastel trend right now - especially when it comes to nail polish."

Where does Beth get her style inspiration? "I like Elle, Vogue and Company magazine but I also love blogs like Lily Melrose and Tanya Burr."

Caroline Dawe, marketing manager at Barry M, styles out a super chic ensemble. She wears a top by Elie Tahari, a shirt from Zara, leather-look leggings from American Apparel and a killer pair of cut-out, buckle-strap boots from Aldo.

This gal knows how to accessorise too - the clutch is also by Elie Tahari, the chunky ring is by Chelsea Doll and the watch is DKNY. Her favourite fashion haunts? Miss Selfridge, Zara and Asos.

Style inspo comes from? "I love Millie Mackintosh (she's always wearing Miss Selfridge too!) and Rachel Bilson."

Caroline adds, "You can only do trends if they really work for you - you can't force them."

Vienna Falherty, national accounts executive, wears a pastel pink New Look top, H&M print trousers and heels from Asos. As for the accessories? The chunky gold necklace is from H&M and the belt is from Primark.

Her work style is all about? "Smart, casual pieces and always heels, wedges or boots." Vienna's beauty essential? Remy Couture hair extensions and a good hairspray.

Administrative assistant, Lucy Hatton, is a lady who likes her high street. She opts for pink tee, loafers and bag from Topshop, necklace and skirt from New Look with a flash of Gelly lip crayon by Barry M - and the look is spring fresh.

"I allow myself about £200 a month to spend on clothes and beauty cosmetics. Right now I'm loving gingham, monochrome and pastels."
