New York Fashion Week: DKNY Autumn/Winter 2014

New York Fashion Week has been reeling off some seriously standout Autumn/Winter 2014 wares. The DKNY catwalk on Sunday was a showcase of signature cool, street, sports-luxe styles.

Think quilted outerwear, masses of monochrome, platform trainers, houndstooth separates, "D" slogan sweatshirts/bombers and fabulous furs.

So happening was this catwalk casting that half of the models who sauntered down the runway were fresh from the streets of New York. Imagine 50 models, 50 different looks - to celebrate 25 years of the brand and the woman behind it.

The vibe was flash and fearlessly cool and the texture play sported across each look (as well as the braided 'dos, baseball caps and burgundy lipstick) made this one of DKNY's most modern yet.

The fact that Rita Ora pitched up styling out leather, tartan and a killer scarlet lipstick just added to the hype - she's all about this label, fronting for their Spring/Summer 2014 resort campaign and all. Perfect poster girl.

This Autumn/Winter will be about channeling grungy, gorgeous glamour. And while this line up was ridiculously hip, there was a definite thought-out edge.

Men and women mixing in the DKNY label are all for a diverse ensemble: they dabble in every fabric, they do print, pink, paneling AND have a mega penchant for fur.
