Paris Couture Week: Dior Autumn/Winter 2014

Paris haute couture week is the biggest style spectacle in the fashion calendar and the Dior show is always a highlight in the schedule.

Following the Atelier Versace show on Sunday night, Raf Simons presented his Autumn/Winter 2014 collection on Monday and impressed the fashion pack once again with his stunning display dreamy of dresses.

Fans of wearing all-black will be happy to hear it was the dominant colour in this collection, but pops of lime, red and lemon were effortlessly added thanks to easy-to-wear jackets and elegant court shoes.

As always, it was Simons' signature gowns that stole the show though and this season, they came with big, full skirts in icy blues, taupe and ivory. The delicate floral prints and embroidery were just another reminder of what makes couture so special - the attention to detail and workmanship.

These are the kind of dresses girls dream of wearing - and Charlize Theron is just one of the stars on the front row who was busy choosing her favourites ahead of the next red carpet season. Although, by the looks of things, she was also keen to strike a pose alongside her new love interest, Sean Penn.
