The fact that Angelina Jolie chose to wear an Elie Saab gown to the Oscars 2014 says it all. When it comes to red carpet-worthy style, this is the designer to go to and Saab's Autumn/Winter 2014 was another brilliant display of this.
A series of floor-sweeping dresses with thigh-high splits were seen in emerald and burgundy (the velvet styles are sure to be a hit on the red carpet next winter) but it was the ankle-length coats and sharp suits which ticked the dramatic box.

There were flashes of a floral print but mostly, these looks were sleek and understated. Saab's accessories for the season ahead? Fur collars, pointy suede ankle boots and metallic box clutches.
