Paris Fashion Week: These Models In Cling Film Is The Weirdest Thing We've Seen In Ages

Fashion designers going all out to create masterful catwalk collections is a given, as is creating an edgy, innovative vibe on the runway. But the Iris van Herpen Autumn/Winter 2014 fashion show took this to another level during Paris Fashion Week.

We're talking real models in giant vacuum-packed plastic bags as part of the scenery. Bizzare-o, yes, but actually we would expect nothing less from the kooky Dutch designer. Lady Gaga is a big fan girl too.

Seriously, this can't be a pleasant experience. Ok, so there are visible breathing tubes but it's not like the models look particularly at ease all suction-packed into variations of the foetal position.

Van Herpen's catwalk was glossy, gorgeous (read: high shine fabrics and lots of bodycon) and maybe the whole cling-film thing was her way of saying the look is er, fresh?
