Pregnant Kimberley Walsh is planning to have a drug-free birth after taking labour advice from an unusual source - her singing teacher!

The 32-year-old Girls Aloud star has had singing lessons throughout her pregnancy, as she was worried about the effect her growing bump would have on her voice.

However, as well as offering Kimberley reassurance about her vocal ability, her teacher-turned-doula also coached her for the birth:

"My teacher mentioned that breathing techniques she'd learnt from singing really helped in childbirth - using her singing power to push the baby out," Kimberley said during an interview with Heat magazine in which she also revealed she is planning to do without an epidural.

"Can you imagine if I had a Julie Andrews moment and burst into The Sound of Music in the labour ward?" she added.

We reckon a tune from her Girls Aloud back catalogue might be more appropriate - although Something Kinda Ooooh is liable to become 'Something kinda Arrrgh!'

Kimberley announced that she and her partner of 10 years, Justin Scott, were expecting their first baby in February and she is now in her third trimester.

So mums-to-be take note: If you hear someone belting out Biology or Some Kind of Miracle in your maternity ward, then you may just have some famous company!
