Prince George Photograph Released To Mark His First Birthday

Prince George will turn one on 22 July, and to celebrate their first born's big day, Kate Middleton and Prince William have released an official photograph. Look how grown up he looks already.

Not only that, but the royal couple are planning a birthday tea party. A source tells US Weekly that the party will take place on George's birthday at Kensington Palace with many of the Royal family and the Middletons invited. It "may extend to the garden if the weather remains glorious," the source added.

There are also rumours of a Peter Rabbit theme, which we for one fully approve of.

We wonder if Kate will be laying on the spread, given that she's been taking cooking lessons recently.

Ahead of the main celebrations, the family took a trip to the National History Museum earlier this month to see the new Sensational Butterflies exhibition.

The family has since released a pic of the Prince from the trip, in which he's walking independently. While we've seen gorgeous George toddling around and taking a few steps before, he seems to have gotten properly into his stride ahead of his big day. The super sweet snap was taken by photographer John Stillwell (see it in the video, below).

"He was very lively, very confident and very sure of himself," Stillwell told Us. "He's a very determined young boy. And who does he look like? I'd have to say his dad, William."

Sweet!
