Revealed: Kate Moss's first ever modelling shoot - aged 14

No prizes for guessing that this is one of the world's most famous – and beautiful – women.

But can you believe these photographs of supermodel Kate Moss were taken 25 years ago?

The stunning pictures were shot when she was just a 14-year-old schoolgirl. Before she was one of the most famous faces on the planet. Before she was a multi-millionaire.

And as she approaches her 40th birthday in January, it is easy to see why her pouty, sullen 'look' is timeless, because despite being a wild party girl, she hardly seems to have aged (these days, granted, with a little help from great lighting and a light touch of the air-brush).

The photos of the Croydon beauty's first modelling shoot have been unveiled in their full glory in a new exhibition at the Lawrence Alkin Gallery in Soho.

Photographer David Ross was struck by her beauty, even at her tender age. Wearing minimal make-up and a black hat, she gazes into the distance with a sullen expression.

In another shot, she stares straight into the camera with her signature blond hair twisted over her shoulder. The stunning images capture the first step to fame of a fashion icon.
