Royal Baby Latest: Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Introduce The Prince Of Cambridge

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge emerged from the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London this evening to introduce their newly born baby boy the Prince of Cambridge to waiting crowds who were delighted to see the latest member of the Royal Family.

The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton wore a blue, polka dot Jenny Packham empire-line summer dress and a nude, low wedge heel while the Duke of Cambridge Prince William wore a matching blue shirt.

Speaking to waiting journalists, Prince William joked the little prince "has her [Duchess of Cambridge] looks" and said the couple are "still working on the name".

"It's such a special time," said Duchess Kate, a statement reiterated by the Duke who added, "It's very special".

After posing for the many waiting cameras, the royal couple returned to the hospital to strap the little Prince into his car seat before re-emerging to drive home to Kensington Palace.

And in case you didn't notice, Princess Diana also wore polka dots when she introduced Prince William outside the Lindo Wing 31 years ago. Coincidence!

Of course Twitter went mental as Prince Cambridge made his debut. The spoof accounts busted out a few comedy gems over the potential royal baby name...

No, William, you cannot call him "Prince George Michael". No matter how funny you'd find the look on your father's face. #royalbaby

Cheryl Cole had herself all worked up staring at the Lindo wing door, but tweeted, "She looks amazing! Glowing" as soon as Kate emerged with the newborn prince in her arms. While Lily Allen said she felt "so sorry" for the royal couple as the world's eyes were upon them and their firstborn son.

Derek Blasberg started taking bets on how long it would be until troubled star Amanda Bynes called the royal baby ugly.

Even One Direction heart-throb Harry Styles waded in on the action. AND made a good point, surprisingly.

An American reporter just said on tv, "They just look like a normal happy family, Kate, the baby and Charles." Have a word.

Reactions to the first appearance were varied to say the least. Journalist Hadley Freeman drew upon the media's obsession with losing baby weight as fast as possible, writing, "OMG KATE'S NOT BACK IN HER SKINNY JEANS!!!!" on the social platform. BUT American telly presenter Ryan Seacrest said he "couldn't stop smiling".
