Women across the world felt a twinge in their uterus last night as rumour had it Ryan Gosling and girlfriend Eva Mendes were expecting their first child.
While we were all a little skeptical it seems the gossip is true. *Weeps uncontrollably into keyboard*.
According to People magazine, the 40-year-old actress who starred alongside the Gosling in the 2012 flick A Place Beyond The Pines is indeed pregnant with his baby.
A close friend of Eva is thought to have told the American gossip mag that although she never intended to settle down and have kids, "with Ryan things are different. She's very independent but she's content with her partner."
The pal added: "She finally found the person she really wants to be with."
According to OK! magazine, Eva is already seven months along, and considering the pair were last spotted together back in November and Eva hasn't been photographed since March there's really no telling if this is true or not.
An insider told the magazine: "[Eva has] been ready for motherhood for a while now, and to be sharing this experience with Ryan is a dream come true for her!"

The Notebook heart-throb started dating fellow actor Eva in 2011 and the news went public when they were spotted on a date at Disneyland in California.
In February this year, Eva denied she was pregnant following an alleged incident at the Los Angeles airport.
The star was thought to have refused to pass through the body scanner during a routine pre-flight security check because she was "pregnant".
A representative for the actress said at the time: "She has never gone through the scanners at the airport, she has always elected to be hand checked instead."
Eva later shrugged off the incident during an interview with American chat show host Ellen Degeneres. "It's so ridiculous," she told Ellen. "It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy?
"They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out."
Riiiight.
Anyway, if you love Eva's beau as much as us you're probably desperate to weep over a bunch of pictures of him wishing you were about to spawn his offspring...
