Schoolboy Bully Threatens Pensioner Over Dog Mess

Police are investigating shocking footage of a schoolboy bullying an elderly woman, accusing her of letting her dog foul his garden.

In the video, the uniformed teen is seen shouting and threatening the 84-year-old, shouting: "Pick it up. You've got 10 seconds. You're not getting past until you do it. Go round and pick it up right now."

The pensioner, who is using a walking stick, looks distressed and replies: "Let me past, get out of my face."

As the scene unfolds, the youth screams at the pensioner: "If you don't pick it up I'll get a staple and staple a plastic bag to the back of the dog's bum."

The teen then raises his hand and threatens to punch the frightened pensioner before the confrontation ends and he walks off after the woman threatens to report him.

The incident, which happened in Lanarkshire, was filmed by a girl who can be heard laughing and giggling behind the camera.

She continues sniggering through the ordeal and taunts: "This is getting uploaded to Facebook."

Strathclyde Police have launched an investigation following dozens of complaints from members of the public who posted their concerns on the force's Facebook page.

One user, Kirsty Irvine, wrote: "Regarding a video circulating Facebook showing a young boy harassing a pensioner about her dogs mess.

"It has to be one of the most awful things I have seen and I really hope the lady is ok. And not for the fact this tearaway is concerned for public hygiene, just to scare an elderly woman.

"Hope the wee culprit is punished for his actions."

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: "Further to the posting of a video on our Facebook page, a 12-year-old boy is subject of a report to the Children's Reporter in connection with the alleged incident."
