Scottish Fashion Awards 2013: Designers, Drams And Dancing All Night Long

And so, it was off to Dover House for the Scottish Fashion Awards 2013! Just as London got chilly, the Scottish style clique met up en mass for the big reveal of who won the coveted trophies.

After grabbing mini bottles of champagne, it was catch-up time as Holly Fulton chatted to Lou Dalton and Christopher Kane, looking incredibly sauve, strolled in with Downton star Laura Carmichael.

Thom Evans (who really should be known as the most handsome man in the world) laughed with Tallia Storm and Pam Hogg gave Mary Charteris a huge hug while Stella Tennant said hello to Hilary Alexander.

Then it was time for the actual awards, hurrah! Laura Whitmore bounced onstage to present and there was hearty cheering for everyone who picked up a gong. Not that celebrations ended there - drams of whisky were swiftly knocked back before everyone was whizzed off to The Northumberland for dinner.

And guess what? Even the super short coach journey was fun! Especially for the guy who ended up sitting next to David Gandy after he strode to the back of the bus but then had to retreat when he discovered there were no seats. "You just never lose that back-of-the-bus thing from school, do you?" he murmured good-naturedly, looking so attractive it should probably be illegal.

After arriving at The Northumberland, Aperol Spritzes were the first order of business and with those in hand we chatted with Scottish Model of the Year Mary Charteris, who was divine in Calvin Klein and Alaia. "It's amazing here, isn't it? I feel very patriotic tonight," she said.

Meanwhile, Holly Fulton - who was wearing the best red lipstick we've ever seen - was full of praise for her fellow Best Scottish Designer nominees.

"It's such an honour to be in the same category as Jonathan (Saunders) and Christopher (Kane)," she said. "I'm so happy Christopher won the award - he's an incredible designer."

Holly revealed the rest of her year is super busy with shows in Singapore and Brazil on the schedule and more collaborations in the pipeline. "They are potentially not in fashion, but I can't really say more than that," she said.

Without further ado, dinner was served and mingling went on until the wee hours at The Northumberland and then at the after party in Whisky Mist. Are we all danced out today? Very much so. Was it an amazing night? You better believe it.
