Teenage Catwalk Model Spotted While Buying Frozen Peas In Co-Op

A teenage model has made her catwalk debut at London Fashion Week after being spotted while buying frozen peas in Suffolk.

Vita West was 16 when talent scout Samantha Simpson saw her in the frozen food aisle of the Co-Op supermarket in her home town of Whickham Market.

"As soon as I saw Vita, I knew she was utterly unique – that brilliant combination of beautiful and smart," Samantha told the Metro.

The schoolgirl - who was studying for her GSCEs at the time - went on to sign with the IMG agency who looks after such modelling luminaries as Gisele Bundchen.

But despite her willowy good looks, Vita is not your usual clothes-horse - The Sun reports that the teenager, who has just turned 18, is 'a devout Christian' who 'refuses to parade in swimwear or work on Sundays'.

She carried out missionary work in Africa around her modelling assignments, and plans to strut the catwalk for two more years before going to university.
