The Queen ISN'T Attending Prince George's Christening? As If!

Everyone is very excited for new royal Prince George's christening at the Chapel Royal at St James' Palace on October 23, but guess what? The Queen isn't going... Apparently.

The only official duty Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh have in their calendar on the big day is hosting a reception for the Diamond Jubilee Trust.

Princess Anne and Prince Edward and his wife Sophie (AKA the Earl and Countess of Wessex) also have duties on the christening date. Duuh, duuh, duuuuuh!

However, we're pretty sure they'll all make an appearance at the historic event. As if Liz would miss it! After all, most of her fam were there at her firstborn's christening....

In other Prince George news, Kate Middleton and Prince William have chosen to take the non-traditional route when it comes to PG's godparents.

According to The Telegraph, they have chosen one of William's oldest friends, Hugh van Cutsem, to be a godfather.

The pair go waaaay back, and Wills was an usher at Hugh's wedding to Rose Astor in 2005 as well as playing godfather to their daughter Grace.

The Duke's schoolfriend Fergus Boyd and Kate's Marlborough College friend Emilia d'Erlanger have also been chosen, reports The Sunday Times.
