Topshop X Ashish = The 'Beach Please' Summer 2014 Collection

Topshop X Ashish = The 'Beach Please' Summer 2014 Collection

Brace yourself ladies, because Topshop and London-based designer Ashish Gupta have teamed up to create a killer collection this summer that goes by the name of "Beach Please".

As heading off to the nearest sandy dune is exactly what we'll be doing every scorching (here's hoping) weekend this season - the line of oversized t-shirts, fluoro swimsuits and bikinis, wrap dresses and skirts is the perfect place to start your holiday wardrobe.

The kooky footwear and accessories are exactly what you'd expect from Central St Martin's graduate Gupta. The Buffalo boots with light-up heels - most recently spotted on Lily Allen and Katy Perry - pool sliders and transparent backpacks are all wearable while offering designer edge at high street prices. Now isn't that just always the loveliest thing to hear?

Statement slogans were hot on the Spring/Summer 2014 catwalk and this collection nods vigorously to the trend. Towel eye masks are embellished with "Not Now" while beach towels read "Service Please" and "Do Not Disturb", which is all makes sense give the designer's theme was "Paradise Hotel".

However, you've got to draw the line somewhere when it comes to fads and the T-shirt with "Hi My Name Is... Please Follow Me @...." slogan might be pushing it a bit. Wearing your Twitter/Instagram handle? Not cool.

The collection is the 10th collaboration from both brands and will be stocked internationally in Topshop's flagship stores, selected Nordstrom's, Browns Focus and Vfiles.
