Dressing for work in hot weather can be hard work. The usual smart style staple - a blazer - is suddenly a no-go when the sun comes out and skirt length often becomes a nightmare without a pair of opaque tights to hide in.
However, if there's only lady who can be counted on to make sophisticated summer style look like a total breeze, it's Victoria Beckham.
The fashion designer was in New York on Monday for business meetings and a party hosted by Net-a-Porter's Natalie Massenet at The Bowery Hotel to celebrate Beckham's work.
Her first outfit of the day was a floral-print wrap dress from her own Autumn/Winter 2014 collection. The best thing about this look? The matching burgundy accessories.
Clearly, an evening do with some of the most important people in the fashion industry required an outfit change however.
Beckham swapped her daytime style for a fitted black gown paired with emerald jewels. (Her recent trip to sunny Los Angeles might explain the sun tan.)
Still, a busy day in NYC didn't stop Victoria from promoting her husband David's BBC1 documentary Into the Unknown on Twitter.
Cute or what?!
