Whatever Happened To... The Cast Of Saved By The Bell?

It was the TV show that defined our generation - it was the one and only Saved By The Bell. Since the show wrapped in 1994, the cast have enjoyed varying degrees of success and more scandal than you can shake a Max burger at.

So here's what Zack and co are up to these days...

1. Zack Morris aka Mark-Paul Gosselaar, 39

After the final bell tolled on the SBTB set, Mark-Paul didn't ditch the Zack attack for good. Instead he starred in every single Saved By The Bell spinoff series like EVER. After finally laying Morris to rest he did what so many teen stars do and landed a role as a detective on NYPD Blue (pretty much the US version of The Bill).

In recent years, the former heart throb has admitted to dating all three of his SBTB female cast mates during the show's production. He now enjoys cycling and flying planes at the weekend. He has two kids with his first wife model, Lisa Anne Russell. The pair split in 2011 after 14 years of marriage and he's since hitched advertising exec Catriona McGinn.

2. AC Slater aka Mario Lopez, 40

SBTB's resident hunk has gone on to become pretty damn successful. He's appeared on Broadway and now hosts the US X Factor.

After six years of dating, Lopez married actress Ali Landry in 2004, but two weeks later, their marriage was annulled. In a 2011 interview, Mario admitted the split happened after Ali discovered he'd had been unfaithful to her days before the wedding at his bachelor party. Agh!

3. Jessie Spano aka Elizabeth Berkley, 41

Elizabeth shed her dorky SBTB image when she played a stripper in the 1995 flick Showgirls. That's pretty much the mid-1990s equivalent of Miley Cyrus at the VMAs in 2013.

Since then she's made a name for herself as an animal rights activist and has been awarded the world's sexiest vegetarian gong by PETA on a number of occasions. Score! She can now be found at home with her artist husband Greg Lauren and their son Sky Cole - who she gave birth to in 2013.

4. Kelly Kapowski aka Tiffani Thiessen, 39

Post 1994, Tiffani landed herself a role on Beverly Hills, 90210 and by 2002 found herself starring in the Woody Allen flick Hollywood Ending.

Tiffani's love life has been pretty up and down over the years. She dated fellow 90210 actor Brian Austin Green - these days Mr Megan Fox - for three years, was she was engaged to actor Richard Ruccolo for two years in the early Noughties and finally married current husband Brady Smith in July 2005.

5. Screech aka Dustin Diamond, 36

Dustin has toured as a standup comedian since SBTB ended. He pretty much disappeared into obscurity until 2006 when he directed and released his own sex tape Screeched: Saved By The Smell. He also formed a band called Salty The Pocketknife, however, they split shortly after recording their first album.

Since then he's penned a tell-all book about his SBTB days - much to the disagreement of his former cast mates. On top of this, he's appeared in pretty much every reality TV series going, including Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, Celebrity Fit Club and the UK's Celebrity Big Brother.

6. Lisa Turtle aka Lark Voorhies, 39

Since SBTB Lark has turned her hand to music and film production. In 1994, she joined girl group the X-Girls with Stacee and Yashi Brown (the daughters of singer and oldest Jackson sibling, Rebbie Jackson). Then, in 2002, she set up her own Beverly Hills-based production company, Yo Soy Productions and even starred in a Boyz II Men music video.

After an interview with Yahoo! this year, questions were raised over the 1990s star's mental health. Her mother Tricia told People magazine she feared her daughter was suffering from bi-polar disorder.

7. Mr Belding aka Dennis Haskins, 63

Dennis Haskins has continued to appear on television since he wrapped up with SBTB - most recently guest starring on Mad Men and How I Met Your Mother. On top of this, he took to the dance floor and appeared on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off Dancing With The Stars.

Dennis has said Saved By The Bell fans "deserved a reunion". He told TMZ in 2013: "Honestly, the fans still love us and our show so much."
