When Is Glastonbury 2014: Three Reasons To Get Excited About The Festival

Glastonbury 2014 starts on June 25th and finishes on June 29th. The first round of ticket sales has already happened but the resale of cancelled tickets is due to happen on April 24th and April 27th.

If you've already got your place booked or even if you're getting ready to enter the second draw, you probably feel like you're going to burst with excitement every time you even think about going to the festival.

Not only is it without doubt one of the biggest events of the summer, but this year's is going to be particularly wonderful. As if you needed them, here's three reasons to get excited about Glastonbury 2014...

1. Dolly Parton. Actual Dolly Parton is headlining. As in 'Jolene'. As in 'Nine To Five'. As in Dollywood. It's enough to make even the most anti-camping girl buy a pair of wellies and get herself down to Worthy Farm. Apart from the music and the epic sing-a-longs bound to happen, you just know Dolly's wardrobe and set for her performance are going to be spectacular.

2. Lily Allen is playing. Remember when Lily was last on the festival circuit? We do and she was bloody great. Also, her festival style and makeup is AMAZING.

3. You'll be at Glastonbury. In the run up to the festival, if you're not going, it's highly depressing. Everyone else is having Glasto chat ("when are you going?" "Where are you camping?" "Are you going to go to Arcade Fire?") while you're contemplating a weekend of watching it in your living room (which is not the same). If you're going, you can get completely caught up in the frenzy and return to work with brilliant stories of how amazing it was. We can literally think of no better way to kick off your summer.
