The 46-year-old actress, who plays Dr. Emma Brookner in The Normal Heart, was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie at this year's awards. Unfortunately for Roberts, she didn't win (Kathy Bates picked up the prize for her role in American Horror Story: Coven) butshe still managed to steal the show.
While Halle Berry, Zooey Deschanel and January Jones embraced Hollywood glamour, Roberts bucked the trend for floor-sweeping gowns and opted for an embellished navy-blue Elie Saab couture dress.
She paired the beautiful beaded design with matching Christian Louboutin heels, a statement ring, pearl nail polish and drop-diamond earrings.
Yes, it was a great outfit choice - those legs! But Julia's minimal make up and soft blonde hairstyle made this look all the more effortless. And let's not forget, having the best 'smize' in Hollywood seriously helps when it comes to posing on the red carpet.

The Hollywood Reporter reports Julia's husband Danny Moder was seen carrying her shoes as they arrived at the HBO after-party held at the Pacific Design Centre in West Hollywood.
