They've always liked to keep their personal life private and it seems they are keen to keep their honeymoon away from prying eyes too. The pair spent their first couple of days as newlyweds in Malta where they are mixing pleasure with work as they film parts of their upcoming movie By The Sea there.

And according to New York Post's Page Six the couple have paid locals on the island of Gozo to give them a little peace and quiet.

A source said: "A lot of people have agreed to leave the island so that they can have privacy to film the movie. The set is being built there to recreate the French Riviera."

Locals apparently revealed they have been paying business owners as much as $200,000 to leave while they film and spend time together.

The couple married on August 23 at their 35-room home on a vineyard in the South of France, Chateau Miraval.

Angelina previously revealed that the couple were letting their six kids plan their wedding day. She told People magazine in an interview which was published in May: "We are discussing it with the children and how they imagine it might be.

"Which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding They will, in a way, be the wedding planners. It's going to be Disney or paintball - one or the other!"
