Yep, the Queen of Cakes, 79, is reportedly keen to launch her own fashion line. She's been spurred on by a dislike of modern trends, and particularly dislikes low-cut tops on older women that reveal the skin is "all wrinkled down there".

According to the Daily Mail, Mary said of the idea: "I've been thinking about that and I'd like to do a range for somebody like Jaeger or MaxMara. I would do good, stylish cuts in durable fabrics that hem well and don't crease – that's why I never wear linen, because I like things to look pristine."

She also had something to say about modern trends like micro-shorts, saying: "They're dreadful. Dreadful! And I think jeggings and leggings are no good on most women, either – certainly not older women. Obviously women can do what they like, but I wouldn't dream of wearing them."

Mary, who just launched her new book, Mary Berry Cooks The Perfect, chatted to Glamour magazine about clothes for the older lady.

She said in a recent interview: "Well, I hope that I dress for my age. Because there's no need to be dowdy, is there?

"I read all the fashion magazines, but most things are totally unsuitable for somebody of 79. You have to really hunt at my age because, quite honestly, an arm is not beautiful at this stage. Also a fairly high neck is a good thing."

She added that she had no problem with higher-hem skirts - as long as you've got the legs for them. "If you have good legs then I think you can still wear short skirts," she mused.

Ms Berry also revealed who her celebrity 'desert island man' would be. And? Hugh Jackman, she laughed, describing him as "delicious". Like a baked good.

Mary? You're a gal after our own heart.
