The birth of your first child is an emotional occasion for all parents, but for one new mum and dad their baby's birthday is cause for a double celebration.
Within minutes of the birth of Conan Patrick, the little boy had an important question to ask his mum, Lisa Keogh, on his dad Paudie Kelleher's behalf.
Conan was briefly taken away from his mum to be washed and dressed, and Paudie took the opportunity to slip his son into a babygro emblazoned with the words: 'Will you marry my daddy?'
Conan was then handed back to his ecstatic mother... who said yes.
Lisa, from Sydney, posted a picture of her sleeping newborn son in his special birthday suit to Facebook, along with the caption:
'What an amazing day. Gave birth to our beautiful baby boy Conan Patrick Kelleher 9lbs 7 & to top it all off Paudie proposed happiest day of my life - feeling blessed with Paudie Kelleher.'
The Irish ex-pat's adorable proposal on September 5 was soon liked by more than 50,000 people.
"What a beautiful way to propose," wrote one commenter.
Another added: 'What an introduction to the world! Keeping up with the Kelleher's coming soon!"
And lots of people took the opportunity to tag their partner in the post, as a not-so-gentle nudge to romantic proposals.
