New York Fashion Week: Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2015

Michael Kors' Spring/Summer 2015 all-access catwalk show at New York Fashion Week Wednesday provided plenty of pretty summery fare for us to fantasise over, with polished floral dresses and chic separates that had us dreaming about a summer hanging with the Martha's Vineyard set.

Catch up on all the latest from the Spring/Summer 2015 shows at fashion week.

Kors pulled in A-list pals like Jessica Chastain, Mary J. Blige, Heidi Klum and Jada Pinkett Smith for his show, which opened with a series of all-white looks, kicked off by 90s model Maggie Rizer strutting out in a cap-sleeved tee and full skirt.

The designer called the collection "optimistic chic" and we can see why: graphic updates on checks and gingham in bold hues, gorgeous florals in "shades of daffodil, wisteria, lawn and geranium" and outfits that looked as comfy as they did elegant (the pockets on day and evening dresses were super appealing, as were the flat sandals and low platform wedges teamed with skirts and dresses).

A particular favourite? The crisp, boyish button-downs and casual white tees teamed with delicately embroidered sheer floral skirts with 3D blooms that struck the perfect balance between preppy daytime look and sexy evening-wear.

Kors also knows how to make us fall head over heels with his accessories, so those brown leather satchels slung on models' shoulders will likely be a hit next season.
