Pixie Lott Is Worried She Might Squash Her Strictly Dance Partner

Pixie Lott is tipped to become one of the best contestants on Strictly Come Dancing this year, but there's one thing the 23-year-old singer is nervous about.

Lott spoke about working with her Aussie dance partner Trent Whiddon in an interview with the Radio Times and revealed what she's fearing the most.

"[I'm dreading] the lifts, because I don't want to flatten him," she said.

We're not sure Pixie's tiny frame could flatten anyone and Whiddon - a new recruit on the professional dancer team - agrees. "Ridiculous, I know!," he replied. "Isn't she cute?"

It sounds like the duo have been putting in the hours, though.

"The Strictly days are really long and I've also been doing gigs and recording my music video, so I've hardly slept," Pixie added.

Oliver Cheshire, Pixie's long-term boyfriend, must be feeling very proud. He joined Pixie on the red carpet at the WellChild Awards in London on Monday night alongside Trent and his dancer wife Gordana Grandosek.

So - is an engagement announcement on the way? Cheshire hinted it could be on the cards during a chat with the Mirror at V Festival in August.

"We're both very career driven but soon. Obviously I'd love to marry her. I love her," he said. Aaahhh.

Can't wait to see Pixie hit the dancefloor? Strictly starts with a double bill on Friday 26 September.
