Starbucks Launches Beer-Flavoured Latte: Would You Try It?

Thought Coffee Wine was weird? Now you can buy beer-flavoured lattes, thanks to Starbucks.

The Dark Barrel Latte is part of the Starbucks autumn menu (iced lattes are officially out) and apparently it's "a blend of espresso, dark caramel and chocolaty stout". Mmm delicious, no?

Starbucks says the new latte drink is "inspired by the rise of craft beers," but unfortunately, the coffee chain is only trying it out in a few stores in the US (Ohio and Florida) before taking this baby global.

Despite the whole "roasted malt flavour" hook, this hot drink actually has no alcohol content inside. What a tease.

That said, we still think the white chocolate mocha and pumpkin spice latte - hot on the UK drinks menu - are just plain wrong. And, it's almost that festive red paper cup season which means those super-sweet gingerbread lattes will be back.

What happened to coffee just being coffee?
