Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she loses her temper with her kids because of the stresses of being a working mother.

So she's actually normal after all!

The 42-year-old mum of Apple, 10, and Moses, eight, with ex Chris Martin, said she sometimes loses her cool when she's trying to do too many things at once.

In the October issue of Viva magazine, the Oscar winner said: "Some days I just think I am failing everywhere.

"Like today I was making lunch and saying to myself 'this lunch is so bad' throwing pasta in the lunch bag, yelling 'get in the car'. I was losing my cool.

"I think it's very hard to try to find the right balance and I think we all aspire to that balance, but it's easier said than done. It's just a matter of trying your best each day and not being too hard on yourself about things.

"I think when you are a working mother it is always very difficult, in fact it's difficult if you are a mother anyway even if you are not working.

"It's the demand, the responsibility and the love - it's a lot and trying to balance a career with it makes it hard."

Gwyneth added: "I have a lot of respect for women who try to do both things, because I really struggle."

This week, Grazia magazine reported that the Hollywood actress is 'uncompromising with the amount of time she expects (Chris) to spend with their family'.

A source told the magazine: "She's drawn up a rota to balance his time living life as a bachelor and seeing Jennifer with honouring their many family commitments.

"Gwyneth still has a lot of control over him, which isn't exactly desirable to prospective girlfriends. The way things are at the moment, no sane person would want to be an accessory to their conscious uncoupling."
