For many tired mums and dads, sinking into a warm bath for a relaxing soak is the highlight of their day.
But kids and pets tend to approach bath time from a rather different point of view.
For them the bath is something to be avoided at all costs. It signals the end of their muckiness - a muckiness which they have been cultivating for many hours and which they are not willing to give up without a fight.
Trying to convince a defiant toddler that they'll actually be far more comfortable and relaxed after their bath can be a struggle. But it can also lead to some hilarious moments as they pull out every adorable trick in their bag in their desperation to avoid a soaking.
Watch the video below to see some of the most common bath avoidance tactics employed by mucky pups, cats and kids.
Common techniques include:
Forgetting how to walk - How can one possibly be expected to bathe if one can't even make it to the bath tub?
Never stop moving - Run, run, as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the unwashed man!
Act dumb - Bath? What bath?
Hang onto something - Anything! Just don't let go.
Drink all of the water - It can't be used to wash me if it's in my belly!
