Chris Martin can't bear to be apart from his kids – so he's bought a house across the road from ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
After the Coldplay singer Chris and Oscar winner Gwynnie 'consciously uncoupled' in March after 10 years of marriage, they said they were determined to be friends and to share the time they have with their kids Apple, 10, and eight-year-old Moses.
But as any separated parent knows, visiting arrangements can be a massive pain the backside when it comes to logistics.
So 37-year-old Chris has found a way around being stuck in traffic for hours on the way to carrying out his dad duties – by living a stone's throw from his offspring.
According to Us Weekly, Chris has bought a home in the Brentwood neighbourhood of Los Angeles directly across the street from 42-year-old Gwyneth's house.
A source told the magazine that the move allows Apple and Moses to spend time with both parents 'whenever they want'.
The sprawling 7,700-square-foot-home with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms was reportedly bought for $6.75 million.
And in keeping with the civility of their break-up, Gwyneth's veteran actress mum, Blythe Danner, even helped Chris move into his new home.
Chris recently opened his new pad for a star-studded 42nd birthday celebration for the Shakespeare In Love actress on September 28 with guests including Blythe, Kate Hudson, Tobey Maguire, Nicole Richie, Gavin Rossdale and Maya Rudolph.
One person missing from the gathering, however, was the Coldplay frontman's rumoured 24-year-old girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence. That would perhaps be taking the cosy uncoupling arrangement a step too far!
