Who better to star on the cover of Harper's Bazaar's daring issue than Anne Hathaway? This is the actress who hosted the Oscars, cut all her hair off and likes to take a fashion risk on the red carpet, after all.
And just to prove this point further, the 31-year-old poses topless wearing a crystal heart in her photoshoot with legendary art director George Lois for the US edition of the magazine. Now that's daring.
"I am getting more daring now," she admits in her interview for the November issue. "I'll wear my mom jeans in public that haven't been tailored 'just so' yet, just because they feel good."
Who does she look to for inspiration when it comes to daring to be different?
"Tilda [Swinton] is it, but she's so cool about it," Hathaway says. "She's so cool, she'd be like, 'Oh, it's not daring. I just did it."
As well as fitting in with the daring theme, the star of Interstellar looks better than ever on the cover. She wears a Giorgio Armani gown with earrings, a ring and bracelet by Cartier and models pieces by Versace, Valentino, Maison Martin Margiela and Ralph Lauren inside the magazine.
She cites Leandra Medine from [the blog] Man Repeller as her favourite style icon and reveals she's a Pinterest addict to.
"I have a Pinterest board, which is called Closet Crush, and it's just all her [Medine] and Jane Birkin and a little Sophia Amoruso because I think she's fabulous too."
She loves Jane Birkin and she can rap showtunes - Anne sounds like our kind of girl.
