Paris Couture Spring/Summer 2014: Giambattista Valli

Paris Couture Spring/Summer 2014: Giambattista Valli

Giambattista Valli's designs always go down well with the A-list (Jessica Biel has got this man on speed dial) and his Spring/Summer 2014 couture collection is sure to be a big hit.

Valli presented an array of bejewelled dresses in Paris on Monday, from short and strapless styles to the dreamiest of tulle gowns that girls just want to twirl in.

Pretty pastels in mint and candyfloss pink were contrasted with sunshine yellow and raspberry shades. The colours were vibrant and the look was slick and sharp, with a little bit of frou-frou thrown in. (This is couture after all.)

Ruffles, bows, crystals and sequins adorned everything. Instead of looking too stiff and streamlined, these designs had texture and volume.

The best place for this kind of statement-making dress? The red carpet.
