Marcia famously played Diane Szalinski in Disney’s live-action film, ‘Honey I Shrunk The Kids’, later reprising the role for the sequel, ‘Honey I Blew Up The Kid’, and the 3D theme park attraction, ‘Honey I Blew Up The Kid’.

In addition to her part as the wife to a wacky inventor, she also had a recurring role in ‘M*A*S*H’, and played one of the leading roles in the sitcom ‘Welcome Back, Kotter’, which also starred John Travolta.

As well as her work as an actress, Marcia had a short-lived singing career in the late 1960s, releasing the singles, ‘The Flower Children’, ‘The Groovy World Of Jack & Jill’ and ‘Self-Analysis’.

Even before her diagnosis, her sister told Variety that she had been active in raising breast cancer awareness for years, and annually took part in a fundraiser called Duets, which benefited breast cancer charities.

Her sister has also requested that in lieu of flower, guests make donations to cancer organisations in Marcia’s name.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, costume designer Lizzie Collector, who recently worked on the wardrobe team for ‘Orange Is The New Black’.
