A mother who gave up her job so she had more time to enter competitions has raked in a quarter of a million pounds in prizes.

Di Coke enters 400 competitions a week and wins at least £15,000 worth of prizes every year.

The 40-year-old mum-of-one from Brighton caught the competition bug in 1997 when she won an all-expenses-paid trip to Iceland.

Di says the buzz of winning that trip gave her 'a taste for the winning lifestyle' and she has now got to the point where she wins so much that she rarely needs to go shopping.

"I've got to the stage when I can fund my life through entering competitions, which is amazing," she said.

"I have managed to kit out my whole house, get toys and clothes for my son and take my family on an amazing holiday a year, all for free. I've had Christmas sorted since the beginning of the year and I have a huge stockpile of presents."

Di has won more than 50 holidays, enabling her to take her husband Rob, 42, and their four-year-old son Ryland to far flung destinations including Brazil and Japan.

Her biggest win was a £13,000 VW Beetle, and she's also managed to win three TVs in the last year alone - which she has shared out among her family members.

The former graphic designer now spends two hours a day entering competitions in newspapers and online. Di says she has mastered the 'tips and tricks' necessary to win and she shares her advice on her blog.

"My favourite competitions are the ones which my family can get involved in too," she adds. "I like the competitions which my son Ryland can take part in, because it means I'm enjoying time with my family as well as having the chance to win a prize."
