Starbucks' Drag Queen Advert Is Brilliant

Starbucks' Drag Queen Advert Is Brilliant

Whether you're a fan of frappuccinos and beer-flavoured coffee or not, there's one thing Starbucks should be applauded for - this advert.

Starbucks

Starring drag queens Bianca Del Rio and Adore Delano from American reality show RuPaul's Drag Race, the minute-long clip sees the "coffee frenemies" fight to the front of the queue for their extra foam lattes.

It's short, simple and includes brilliant one-liners. "Did anybody ever tell you that excessive amount of make up during the day makes you look really horrible?" Bianca tells Adore when she pushes in next to her.

The ad's concluding message, "Saving friendships since 1971," is endearing, too. Plus, how many other global corporations have put the lesbian and gay community at the forefront of their advertising campaigns?
