McDonald's Finally Reveal How Their Weirdest Meal Is Made

McDonald's has published a video finally lifting the lid on the mystery that has plagued Americans for years: How do they make the McRib.

The foodstuff isn't available in the UK, but it's a big hit over with our American cousins thanks in part to the way it looks and tastes like a rib but actually, isn't in any way a rib.

Naturally this disconnect between reality has caused some concern with customers over how McDonald's actually creates the delicious but mysterious food.

Well it turns out everyone can rest easy because the way they make it is as straightforward as it is fascinating, and no, there isn't any pink sludge involved.

Instead it's just good old pork picnic cuts, salt and flavourings and then some water to help with the flash freezing process. The BBQ taste is then added courtesy of a marinade that's kept in stores.
